Phone chat is one of the most private ways to meet people — your number is never shared, and you control what you reveal. These habits keep it that way.
🕶️ Guard your personal details
Never share your last name, home or work address, workplace, financial information, or social media handles with someone you just met on the line. A first name is plenty.
🚩 Know the red flags
End the conversation with anyone who asks for money, gift cards, or account details; pushes for personal information early; or pressures you to move to another app immediately. Genuine callers don't do any of that.
⏳ Take your time
There's no rush. Talk as many times as you want before sharing anything or agreeing to meet. Anyone worth meeting will respect your pace.
📍 If you decide to meet
Meet in a busy public place, arrange your own transportation both ways, and tell a friend where you'll be and when to expect to hear from you. Keep your phone charged.
